A highly experienced development, project and construction manager from Amazon, specialising in distribution and logistics facilities, Andrea Benvenuti has chosen to join the major new player in European Logistics Real Estate as a partner.

Logistics Capital Partners, a leading pan European logistics specialist providing project development and asset management services for Logistics Real Estate in Europe, announces that Andrea Benvenuti has joined the business as a partner.

Andrea joins as Managing Director of Development and Construction, and as a new shareholder, adding significant strength and capability to Logistics Capital Partners’ capabilities across Europe. Andrea has over 18 years of professional experience in real estate development, design, and construction, working in many European countries (Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic and UK). During the last three years alone, he has led the development of more than 8 million sqft (800,000 sqm) of logistics real estate.

Since 2012 Andrea has been the initiator and driver in the development and construction of a new generation of buildings in Europe for Amazon. Prior to joining Amazon Andrea held a senior role at Prologis from 2003, where he was First Vice President, Head of Southern Europe Project Management and developed over 5 million sqft (500,000 sqm) of speculative and built-to-suit logistics buildings for multiple tenants.

Logistics Capital Partners (‘LCP’) was formally established earlier this year by James Markby and Kristof Verstraeten. James was formerly Head of CBRE’s European Industrial & Logistics Investment team; Kristof was previously at Goodman Real Estate where he was Commercial Director of Europe, leading Goodman’s development, asset management and transaction teams across 11 European countries.

LCP offers dedicated logistics expertise and a strong occupier focus, combined with access to global capital providers, to deliver a leading pan European real estate business.

Kristof Verstreaten, Managing Director of Logistics Capital Partners, commented:
“James and I are really excited that Andrea has agreed to join us as a partner, as this was a key goal and part of the wider plan for the business.”

“Individually Andrea has unrivalled knowledge and a track record of delivering the largest and most complex logistics facilities built in Europe. He has been at the cutting edge of property development for the logistics and retailing sectors, and that experience and proven capability is absolutely invaluable.”

“From a team perspective, we know the dynamic works, having successfully worked together on the delivery of several projects previously, while Andrea was at Amazon. He adds significantly to the foundations of the company, and will create a lot of value for both our customers and partners.”

“We have a very experienced, professional and cohesive team at Logistics Capital Partners and we are particularly keen to share these capabilities and ideas with the managers of logistics and retail companies across Europe who are looking for a new partner and a fresh approach to deliver their distribution requirements.”
Andrea Benvenuti added:
“I am delighted to join Logistics Capital Partners as a partner and to start work alongside such capable, experienced and ambitious professionals as James and Kristof. At this stage of my career I am convinced that this is the right move for me: an extremely exciting opportunity to use my insights to drive LCP’s construction and development activity and to use the expertise I have acquired during 18 years across Europe.”

“Having worked both as a developer and occupier I can anticipate our customer’s needs and deliver efficient and effective solutions. In addition, my background and experience perfectly complement those of James and Kristof and together we can guarantee our clients a wide range of professional and high-quality services from development and construction through to investment and asset management.”
