John Went has joined LCP as a new Partner and General Counsel

Logistics Capital Partners bosters senior management team with new Partner and General Counsel.

He has moved from CBRE Investment Management’s Indirect business, where he had overall responsibility for the firm’s legal affairs globally including funds, separate accounts, investment activity and joint ventures. He also oversaw the legal functions of the CBRE Investment Management Asia Pacific and Infrastructure businesses.

John has over 15 years’ legal experience in the real estate investment industry, having started his career at the magic circle law firm, Clifford Chance. During his 9 years there he represented a variety of investors, sponsors, and operating partners on all aspects of real estate investment including cross-border real estate M&A, real estate private equity, joint ventures, and co-investment.

John is a qualified solicitor (England and Wales) and has a master’s degree from Oxford University.

John Went commented; “I’m delighted to join LCP as Partner and General Counsel.  This is an exciting moment for me and a perfect strategic fit with LCP’s evolution.  The team’s track record and reputation in the market is first class and I look forward to working with them, particularly at such an interesting time in the market.”

James Markby, Founder and Managing Partner commented “John’s pedigree speaks for itself, having been at Oxford University, Clifford Chance and then General Counsel at CBREIM’s Indirect business. The timing is perfect as we look to make the most of the dislocated markets and competitive capital structuring across our business. It will be a winning combination”
