The European expert in logistics real estate, Logistics Capital Partners (LCP), has burst onto the French realestate scene with a flourish, having opened an office in Paris, purchased a 14-hectare site in a core marketarea south of the capital and hired Estelle Vargas, a key figure in the sector formerly with Carrefour Propertyand Gazeley.
Although Logistics Capital Partners is new on the French market, the company is up with the top logistics realestate developers in Europe according to the PropertyEU ranking. Founded five years ago by three sector experts — Kristof Verstraeten, James Markby and Andrea Benvenuti, all having learned their trade in major real estate companies — Logistics Capital Partners is already established in six European countries (UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain), has developed more than 500,000 m² in just five years, currently manages 800 million euros of assets and has 1.5 billion euros of secured projects in its short-term pipeline. Customers include major retailers and logistics providers such as XPO, the Kering Group, Primark or the e-commerce giant Amazon, for which LCP has already developed several buildings.
France: a strategic market
In order to broaden and consolidate its strategic geographical presence, LCP is now focusing on France. As adeveloper and asset manager, LCP is proud to announce the opening of its commercial office at rue JulesLefebvre, Paris (9th district), which will be managed by two of its partners: Mathieu Olive and Emmanuel Mercier.
“LCP is a pan-European company. After first establishing ourselves and delivering a significant number of projects in neighbouring countries, entering the French market is in keeping with our overall strategy, to meet the constantly changing needs of our users by supporting them in their development strategy across Europe. France is a major market in Europe, and we just had to be there” underlines Mathieu Olive. LCP’s activity in France coincides with its purchase of the first plot of land in Corbeil-Essonnes, ideally located at the intersection of the Paris outer ring-road and the A6 motorway. The 14-hectare site is currently being prepared.
LCP is appointing Estelle Vargas as its Development Director for France. With 18 years of experience in logisticsreal estate, Ms. Vargas began her career in 2002 at Gazeley, where she worked as a developer specialising inlogistics warehouses. She then joined Carrefour Property in 2015, where she developed more than 900,000 m²of warehouses in France and participated in the development of assets within the rest of Europe, particularlyBelgium, Spain and Italy. “I am delighted to join a dynamic company such as LCP and to take up this newchallenge”, she explains. “Our keen understanding of occupiers’ needs, our capacity to develop complex projectswithin ever tighter deadlines and our geographical scope, which now includes France, allow us to help ourcustomers develop their logistics network throughout Europe.”
